With over 45 years of experience in the legal field, Jordan “Jody” Yudien is a highly skilled                  litigator and a trusted mediator based in the East Bay of Northern California. Jody earned his undergraduate degree from the prestigious New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations and his law degree from Washington University Law School in St. Louis. He is admitted to practice law in New York, Arizona, and California, having passed the bar exams in all three states.

Throughout his distinguished career as a litigator, Jody has represented both plaintiffs and                defendants in a wide variety of civil matters, including professional malpractice, personal injury, labor and employment law, business litigation, and real estate disputes. Nearly all of the cases he’s handled have settled without the need for trial, often on terms highly favorable to his clients. His specific areas of focus include:

• Labor and Employment Law: Labor-management relations, wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour issues.
• Business Litigation: Partnership disputes, construction disputes, contractor issues, business licensing disputes.
• Real Estate Disputes: Expertise in all types of real estate-related matters.

Jody has also volunteered his time as a judge in small claims court and as a settlement facilitator, further honing his skills in conflict resolution. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, he has a unique understanding of what motivates each side, allowing him to guide parties toward mutually agreeable solutions. This experience has made him a highly effective mediator, known for his ability to resolve complex issues efficiently and equitably.

In addition to his professional career, Jody leads an active lifestyle. He is an accomplished long-distance runner who completed his one and only marathon in under 4 hours. As a cyclist, he routinely participates in century (100-mile) events, culminating in the grueling California Death Ride—a 129-mile bike ride with over 15,000 feet of vertical elevation. He continues to prioritize his health by working out at the gym almost every day.

Outside of work and athletics, Jody enjoys going to movies and rock concerts, with a particular love for live music. He has been happily married for 33 years and is proud of his daughter, who now works in the healthcare field.
